If you have the time, some hiking shoes and a sense of what took place here, you can almost listen for the crack of musket as the branches sway in the breeze. I really wish NPS would take better care of the peaceful cemetery and the bridge overlook.
A hard to find historic battlefield. It is not marked from Highway 57, so use Google Maps to navigate to. Another part of the battlefield is on Metamora Hill about a half mile to the east on Pocahontas Road.
